We were guests at the Chemnitz school-business working group
Last week, we were guests at the Chemnitz school-business working group. On March 7, 2024, representatives from schools, companies, chambers, the employment agency and other partners met at the Chemnitz-based company Sachsen Guss GmbH.
FDTech has been a partner from the very beginning and has been teaching the eighth and ninth graders at Johann-Wolfgang-von-Goethe-Gymnasium in Chemnitz in science profile lessons since September 2023. Felicia Kollinger-Walter presented the experiences of our Head of Education Silvio Woltmann from the past first half of the school year to the interested guests.
In addition to the practical lessons, other positive effects have already resulted from participation in the project, according to Headmistress Trompelt: new synergies with Technische Universität Chemnitz have been identified and are already being used.
Further new projects of the working group are already being planned. For example, an online portal is to be developed to coordinate career guidance and make offers from schools and companies visible.
