We were a contender for Saxony's Entrepreneur of the Year award
The “Saxony's Entrepreneur of the Year” award was presented for the 19th time on April 26th in Dresden. Karsten Schulze, Bert Auerbach and Marcus Wilsdorf were in attendance representing FDTech.
“Saxony's Entrepreneur of the Year” is considered the most important business award in Saxony. Every year, deserving personalities from the Free State's economy are honored.
Even though we did not win the special prize, we were delighted that Christoph Ulrich, business editor of the Freie Presse, nominated us for this special award. The nomination was accompanied by extensive editorial coverage in the Saxon daily newspapers in the run-up to the award ceremony. In this way, our valuable corporate culture was presented to a broad public.
In the run-up to the award ceremony, we were informed that Karsten Schulze, Marcus Wilsdorf and Bert Auerbach had been selected by the jury as one of the 10 finalists for the special “Focus X - Integration and Inclusion” award out of over 100 nominations and applications.
And so they took part in the award ceremony at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden last Friday. The special prize was ultimately won by Black Knight GmbH from Leipzig. According to the jury, the entrepreneurs Ramin Al Khakani and Husein Abdulla are exemplary for an entrepreneurial success story, with and precisely because of their migration background.
The main prize went to Leipzig-based managing directors Michael Creutzer and Patrick Schöne from Teil-Auto, who impressed the jury with their vision of environmentally conscious mobility.
The most innovative start-up was Bahnhof Leisnig Verwaltungs GbR with Kathryn Döhner, Alireza Rismanchian and Christoph Schoenbeck. They are turning Leisnig station into a place of encounter, exchange and creativity.
Congratulations to the winners!
