Gone with the wind, or - SYMPOSIUM AUTOMOTIVE & MOBILITY

Networking, making business contacts, innovative vehicle and mobility concepts you can touch as well as keynote speeches for students from research and technology - that's the SAM by Forschungs- und Transferzentrum e.V. an der Westsächsischen Hochschule Zwickau.

The event took place last Thursday, now for the 6th time, as an open-air event at Zwickau's Kornmarkt. Since 2017, the symposium has been connecting future specialists in the automotive industry with regional companies and research institutions. For us, FDTech as part of the CADA - Chemnitz Automated Driving Alliance, the SAM offers a good opportunity to talk to students and others from the automotive industry. Accompanying specialist presentations and insights were given on topics such as future BMW E/E architecture, climate-friendly car mobility of the future, hydrogen safety as the basis for the development of fuel cell vehicles and the international development and production of electric vehicles by the Volkswagen Group. Renowned speakers were Dr.-Ing. Fathi El-Dwaik, Head of Development Electric/Electronic Systems, BMW Group; Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Prof. E. h. Dr. h. c. Cornel Stan, Honorary Chairman FTZ e.V.; Winfried Brieger, Team Leader Testing, Mechatronics and Media Management, FES GmbH Fahrzeug-Entwicklung Sachsen and Felix Jacob, Section Manager, Volkswagen Group Japan. Despite the capricious weather with heavy squalls, the SAM was a successful regional event. We would like to thank everyone involved and our steadfast team on site.
