State parliament president Alexander Dierks as a guest at FDTech

Alexander Dierks, President of the Saxon State Parliament since October 2024, visited us recently. As a Chemnitz Member of Parliament, he regularly engages with local companies to stay informed. We were pleased to share insights into our work.

Naturally, the current political challenge of forming a government was at the beginning of the conversation. However, Dierks did not want to lament the social reality, but rather convey a positive image.
He also sees the turmoil as a sign of democracy, which now requires even more effort to find majorities for good projects.

Our CEO Karsten warned that the political will for change must be increased overall in order to stabilize Saxony/Germany as a business location. After all, social benefits will only remain financially viable with a functioning market economy.

Karsten and Alexander Dierks agreed that society as a whole must adapt to the fact that, in case of doubt, things that have become taken for granted will have to be shared or even cut back completely.

In addition to the presentation of FDTech, the CADA - Chemnitz Automated Driving Alliance network and the Chemnitz Business Initiative for Democracy and Diversity (widv.de) we also talked about our education initiatives and the status of electromobility.

We would like to thank Mr. Dierks for his interest and his visit.
