Simulation Content Database – the Backbone of Efficient Virtual Validation

Across many development domains, a familiar challenge persists: a growing number of tools, fragmented data silos and significant manual effort. In simulation workflows in particular, this fragmentation often prevents data from accelerating development. Valuable information is stored inconsistently, difficult to retrieve or has to be recreated for every new project.

The Simulation Content Database (SCDB), a core component of our FDIntelliFlow solution, addresses these challenges by providing a unified, scalable and reusable foundation for managing simulation assets. The SCDB serves as a central source of truth for all simulation content—clearly structured, standardized and seamlessly integrated into existing toolchains.

Key benefits are:

Transparent management of scenarios, environments and test content
All relevant simulation elements are consistently captured, versioned and traceable throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Reuse instead of rework
With consistently structured and standardized data, costly recreations become unnecessary. This not only saves time but also enhances quality by ensuring a coherent data foundation.

Integration into existing processes without media breaks
The SCDB can be incorporated into current development and simulation environments without disrupting established workflows, ensuring smooth and loss-free data transitions.

Scalable for ADAS/AD, SDV and virtual homologation
Whether for advanced driver assistance systems, software-defined vehicles or large-scale validation processes, the SCDB offers the scalability required for modern development organizations.

Teams benefit from greater efficiency, faster iterations and reliable validation at scale. The Simulation Content Database provides the stable backbone needed for future-proof virtual development processes.

MOVE: Mobility Re-imagined in London – From "Can We?" to "How Efficiently?"
At the MOVE: Mobility Re-imagined conference in London, one thing became clear: the question is no longer whether autonomous driving is possible. The real conversation begins with the conditions, the scaling, and the regulation. FDTech was on site to gather impressions from the world's leading players and to reflect on Europe's role in the race toward autonomous mobility.
