Strengthening the Economy, Securing the Future: FDTech at the Regional Forum in Chemnitz

How can we strengthen our region's economy and secure its future? This question brought nearly 200 participants together at the historic Hartmannhalle in Chemnitz. Among the voices calling for honest dialogue and practical solutions was FDTech CEO Karsten Schulze. Here is our recap of an event that put entrepreneurial reality at the center of the conversation.
Under the motto “Strengthening the Economy, Securing the Future,” a high-profile regional forum on current challenges, potential solutions, and funding opportunities took place at the Hartmannhalle in Chemnitz.
The event was hosted by the Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Infrastruktur und Landesentwicklung, the Sächsische Aufbaubank, and the Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Chemnitz.
Nearly 200 participants listened to the keynote speakers and panelists, including Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Panter, Dr. Katrin Leonhardt, Chairwoman of the Board of the Sächsische Aufbaubank, and Prof. Dr. Angelika C. Bullinger-Hoffmann from Technische Universität Chemnitz.
Among other topics, the discussion focused on funding opportunities and the development of new business areas. Our CEO Karsten Schulze drew applause with his remark that entrepreneurs are less concerned with subsidies and more with creating opportunities and overcoming obstacles. As an example, he cited the physical signatures that the SAB still requires on digital applications today, despite all the digitization strategies.
Max Jankowsky, President of the IHK Chemnitz, called for more honesty and simplicity and offered an encouraging reminder that August Horch and Richard Hartmann were also Saxon pioneers.
It is clear that many companies are facing major challenges and are seeking dialogue and collaboration with like-minded peers. At the same time, they are calling for committed support from policymakers and targeted measures to strengthen competitiveness here in the region.
Our CEO Karsten Schulze participated in the discussion alongside Nico Nebel (SITEC Industrietechnologie GmbH), Carsten Fuchs (BEAS Technologies), Monty Teper (Molding Tech Steinberg – MTS), Matthias Banowski (IMM electronics GmbH), Sören Wagner, Ronny Bernstein (BMF GmbH), and many more.
We would like to thank Dr. Leonhardt and Minister of Economic Affairs Panter for their keen interest in the issues that concern us and the many other dedicated entrepreneurs in our region.
